70 Years Is Only For the Strong
A man who made me his everything
And who became my everything
You are and will always be my sun and moon my love,
The honeyed rays in charcoal clouds.
He has told you oh man, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you?
But to be just;
and to love kindness
and walk humbly with your God.
By the time you read this on the 20 August 2024 you will be 70 years old.
It's a long life you've been blessed with.
You have fallen and risen.
You will never forget the fall but the scars are a beautiful reminder of how to navigate and not navigate life.
It reminds one of the power of God that can make a desert bloom again.
I pray that when you reflect you will see the hand of God upon your life - from being a messenger boy to a mighty man of honour. A skilled educated man of quiet insight.This is how God can turn a life around - your life.
I pray you will stay rooted in the faith and carry your frame with the bearing of God's chosen man and priest.
Oh how God loves you and has favoured you with the rising and setting of the sun.
In life, you will fall out with people that you never thought you would. Perhaps betray and certainly be betrayed by people you trusted with all your heart. And get used by people you would do anything for. But life also has a beautiful side to it. You will get loved by someone you never thought you would have. Form new relationships with people that will establish more meaningful and stronger relationships. And overcome things you never thought you would get over.
I take pleasure in trusting that the very best part of our story is still being written.
Happy 70th my Dan, my Don, Danny, Daniel.
God is always on time.
He gave us new chapters in a master script sculptured by his hand.
Every chapter you have lived has shaped your life.
Smile for the beautiful years and relationships and family he has given you.
Grow on.

What a blessing it is to reach this wonderful milestone 🙌🏼 As a former Church Youth member of the 1970's, we share so many memorable moments and life experiences ✨ ❤ You, belonging to the Wynberg CJV and us belonging to the Acacia-Park Parkwood CJV. I got to know you as a humble, friendly and outgoing guy, with somewhat of a humorous streak in your personality...always positive and fun-loving.. but also remaining rooted in your Christian values. We always looked up to you and the other older friends in our CJV. We were so proud when you started to develop your singing talent, when you joined the Singing group, the African Sonrise. We used to enjoy your singing and followed the group wherever they performed. We were sad when you left South Africa but also glad that you were able to spread your wings ❤ and develop yourself even further. You had quite an eventful life and we are so grateful that you have returned to South Africa to make a difference in young peoples lives 🙏🏽 You are now at this stage of your life where you can reflect on your life and to be so pleased with what you have achieved. God has used you to bless others over the years, and yet, you're still continuing with the good work by giving others also the opportunity to achieve and make their dreams a reality and to become successful in life 🙌🏼 Danny, stay the deeply compassionate, kind-hearted, loyal, and fun-loving person..with that beautiful smile and a heart of gold.
